Milwaukee toddler fatally shoots mother in back

A Milwaukee mother of three was shot and killed by her 2-year-old son yesterday morning while driving on US 41/Highway 175 near Miller Park.

"According to witness accounts, Price's 2 ½-year-old child was in the back seat, retrieved a firearm that slid out from under the driver's seat and shot through the seat, striking the driver", the release stated. According to the New York Daily News, the four-year-old boy fired a. 45 caliber handgun into the driver's seat, hitting his mother in the back.

The woman's father, Andre Price, said his daughter was driving her boyfriend's vehicle when she was shot.

Price's boyfriend, who is said to be a security guard, has not been named.

He said she also had an older daughter aged seven or eight, and described Patrice as "hardworking". They won't give me a chance to see my little girl. His gun belt and tactical vest were also in the auto, the Sheriff's Office said.

Answers to those questions are likely to come to light throughout the investigation; meanwhile, Price's family must come to terms with the heartbreaking fact that her three children are now motherless.

A two-year-old boy has fatally shot his mother from the backseat of the vehicle as she drove along a motorway, police officials in the city of Milwaukee said. Not included in that total are accidental, self-inflicted shootings.

"I want them to remember her handsome smile, her kind heart and her gracious heart", Price's father, Andre Price Sr., said.

The driver's mother and one-year-old were in the front passenger seat.

Following the shooting, fellow motorists stopped and pushed the auto out of traffic before police arrived and performed CPR on Price while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical personnel. Gilt, a pro-gun activist, maintains a Facebook page called "Jamie Gilt for Gun Sense".

Family members are remembering the woman who was shot and killed on a Milwaukee, Wisconsin freeway Monday.
