Police probe T in the Park deaths

Police probe T in the Park deaths”

It is the second time the festival has been staged at Strathallan and organisers have made a number of changes to the layout to improve security and avoid the major traffic congestion experienced a year ago when some people demanded refunds after being unable to leave the park.

FOOTAGE that shows several men throwing punches at each other in the T in the Park campsite is to be investigated by police.

The deaths at the Strathallan Castle festival are both being treated as "unexplained", though they are not thought to be connected.

"Police Scotland can confirm we are investigating reports of the death of a female, and the separate death of a male at T in the Park".

It is understood one female and one male have died.

Police were unable to comment further at this stage.

"We are offering our full support and assistance".

T in the Park is Scotland's biggest music festival, regularly attracting more than 80,000 revellers over the weekend.

This year's headliners include Calvin Harris on the Saturday and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday, while Jamie XX, Disclosure and the Courteeners are set to play on Friday night before the Stone Roses take the stage.
