IRS lien shows Floyd Mayweather owes $22.2 million on 2015 taxes

The war over the T-Mobile Arena is over - with the BIG3 basketball league striking a sweet deal to move to another venue so Mayweather and McGregor can square off there on August 26.

But, it was the Irishman who managed to cause the most stir as he was at his entertainment best at the first showdown.

Addressing the media and the crowd of more than 11,000 people present, McGregor said, "He's in a track suit".

Conor immediately drew attention to what Floyd was wearing at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, claiming that he can't afford a suit. Not to take anything away from this sport, but I have no worries about going twelve rounds with Floyd. That's fine, you can crunch numbers all day but in the end, my empire is rock solid and intact! The two are scheduled to fight in a boxing match in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.

Going forward, the promoters would be wise to get the behind-the-scene executives out of the way and ensure that both men have working microphones that allow for more of a verbal back-and-forth.

"We know Mr Tapout like to quit and you will", Mayweather responded, when he had his chance at the microphone.

The announced cost of the pay-per-view card is set at $89.95 (USD) for standard definition and $99.95 (USD) for high definition.

The IRS says boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. still owes $22.2 million in taxes from 2015, the year he earned his biggest payday with a blockbuster fight against Manny Pacquiao.

However, Mayweather's antics failed as McGregor screamed from his seat to give the cheque 'to the taxman'. MMA gloves in their fight. In the meantime, the two will continue their press tour through the rest of the week, making stops in Toronto, Brooklyn, and London.
