Rockets' James Harden: Carmelo Anthony Trade is 'Out of My Hands'”

Caldwell-Pope will miss the first two games of the 2017-18 season after the NBA suspended him last month following his guilty plea to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated in Auburn Hills, Mich. He was arrested in March after police pulled him over for driving 45 mph in a 25-mph zone and a breathalyzer test displayed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.08.

The Kings are seeking cash compensation in exchange for Perry's departure to New York, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.

"I will work tirelessly to develop a culture that demands results, commitment and pride from everyone fortunate enough to be associated with our team — from our staff to our players", Perry said in a statement released by the Knicks.

Days after Perry was dismissed as the Orlando Magic's assistant GM in April, the Kings hired him as the front office's No. 2 to GM Vlade Divac.

With five straight playoff appearances put together for Houston, there's no doubt we'll see them on another run come the end of the season.

The key to the trade is finding a team that will take the contract of Ryan Anderson. That led to Griffin pulling out of consideration for the job.

"We thank Scott for his time with the Kings and wish him the best of luck in his promotion to General Manager of the New York Knicks", Sacramento general manager Vlade Divac said. Perry, meanwhile, seems to be replacing only Jackson. Miles in a sign-and-trade deal from the Pacers for Joseph. However, it does make the Suns an intriguing fourth party to execute a trade with the Rockets. Unfortunately, as the deal is now off the table, there will be no "Big Three" in the Houston Rockets, but "The Beard" is still optimistic of the current roster. In other words: We're going to be young and terrible. The Rockets would get Anthony and send Anderson to the Trail Blazers.

So, in a way, perhaps this is the beginning of a new era for the Knicks, no matter how much Dolan and the rest of Madison Square Garden aren't interested in changing anything else. It'll take a lot more than bringing in one man - and replacing no one else - to have one of those.
