Barcelona's 100-Million Euro Bid For Philippe Coutinho Rejected by Liverpool: Reports”

Liverpool have rejected a second bid from Barcelona for their player Philippe Coutinho, seemingly sticking to their stance that the Brazilian is not for sale, at any price.

"But it comes down to Philippe Coutinho and his decision, what he is prepared to do, what type of war he is going to create to get out because Liverpool won't make it easy for him", the former Liverpool captain claimed.

Coutinho, a key figure for Liverpool since arriving from Inter Milan in January 2013, registered 13 goals and seven assists for the Reds during their 2016/17 Premier League campaign. "But he will want to go and wear that shirt", he told Sky Sports.

Souness, though, fears that the 25-year-old will seek a switch if a suitable offer is tabled, forcing Liverpool to reluctantly sanction a sale.

"I think Klopp needs to make sure Liverpool challenge for the Premier League next season".

Resisting every single invitation to win more titles and stay at the ground where you made your debut as a teenager and left as a legend is something that will probably never happen again.

Do you something awesome to share with the world? Just yesterday, I wrote about this failed transfer after news broke that the two clubs agreed on a deal for the star winger.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have boosted their spending power in this summer's transfer market by signing a £25m shirt sleeve sponsorship deal with Western Union. That is set in stone. There is no loyalty in the game.

Given that Coutinho's contract doesn't include a release clause, Liverpool are under no pressure to sell and Barcelona cannot force the Reds to sell. Klopp spoke to the forward in Hong Kong when Barcelona first formalised their interest to stress his importance to the team and reiterate the club's determination to keep him at Anfield.
