Nokia 9 And Nokia 8 (2018) To Be Launched On 19th January”

There are many rumors and leaks that HMD Global is hosting a Launch event in China on January 19 to unveil Nokia 9. Its not impossible – the original Pixels got Treble (of course), but so did the Essential Phone along with the Huawei Honor 9 and Honor 8 Pro. If this report is to materialize, the company might put out the dates very soon.

Few days back company released the protective case of Nokia 9 that described the entire build of Nokia 9. The screenshot shows that Nokia 9 with 65GB RAM and 64 GB storage will go on sale in China for CNY 3,699 whereas other versions with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced at CNY 4,199.

Those prices, while fairly high, would be a little lower than previous pricing rumors had suggested and a lot lower than some of this year's flagships, such as the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The report also claims that both the phones will be customised for the Chinese market hence, may come with special ROM where Google services may be replaced by local alternatives. Two new smartphones are expected to be unveiled at the event - Nokia 9 and the second-generation Nokia 8. The device is expected to come with top of the line components.

Alongside the launch date and images of the Nokia 9, some of the specs and also the price of the phone have been leaked online.

Chances are that the Nokia 9 will be launched in two variants, one with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the other version of the phone may have 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This handset, which is also said to come with custom software, is said to pack an 18:9 screen, Snapdragon 835 internals and IP67 certification. Reports suggest that neither of the phones will include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
