Real Madrid 'concerned' about signing Timo Werner for surprising reason”

RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick rejects reports suggesting that striker Timo Werner will sign for Real Madrid next year.

Real Madrid, the crown-holders of LaLiga and Champions League have been linked with a move for Werner.

Werner has been turning heads with his performances for RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes recently said that the Bavarians should have beaten Die Bullen to his signature.

But the 21-year-old's prolific form for club and country is apparently undermined in the eyes of the Spanish giants due to a physical issue.

However, Rangnick has hit out at speculation claiming that the Germany international will be joining Zinedine Zidane's side in the near future.

"In winter nor in summer, we will keep Timo Werner with us", he told FourFourTwo. Playing for arguably the biggest team on the planet is one surefire way to do that, and the youngster would doubtless benefit from playing in front of the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. According to Spanish publication Marca, Los Blancos are in need of a striker in January, and Werner is the man they have turn their attentions to. The German has scored 28 goals in 42 league appearances, taking him to Bundesliga prominence. Werner is a forward player who has the capability to play out wide.

Also, Werner finished the last season of Bundesliga with an impressive goal tally, rocketing his club to the position of runners-up.
