Diafra Sakho has Crystal Palace medical ahead of expected £10m move”

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is keeping 'quiet' on talks regarding a move for Diafra Sakho from West Ham United.

Russia captain Fyodor Smolov is intent on making a move to the Premier League to sign for London-based side West Ham. He has seen his opportunities limited and has been used largely as a substitute this season.

Their results have improved since Roy Hodgson took charge but form of star striker Christian Benteke, who has just one league goal, suggests the Eagles would benefit from another attacking threat.

Meanwhile, Palace will be desperate to deepen their attacking options with the club still in a relegation battle.

"We are doing it as best we can and as professionally as we can".

That is according to Sky Sports, who report that the player could make the switch if the Hammers sell Diafra Sakho this month.

Niasse was never expected to be a prominent figure at Goodison Park but he is the Toffee's third top scorer and has scored six goals in the five games he has started. "We don't want to bring players in for the sake of bringing them in".

"We have been thinking about that since I came in September and the people who are working on this, our scouting department, Doug Freedman, Steve Parish and our owners are working overtime to try and identify people".
