Real Madrid v Bayern, Liverpool v Roma — Champions League draw

Real Madrid v Bayern, Liverpool v Roma — Champions League draw”

Here's how fans have reacted to the news on social media and our forums.

Juergen Klopp has warned his Liverpool stars that AS Roma's epic comeback against Barcelona proves the Italian club shouldn't be underestimated when they clash in the Champions League semi-finals.

Though Real have won the tournament 12 times and Bayern have been crowned champions on five occasions, Salah said his ex-colleagues informed him the last thing they wanted was to be drawn against Liverpool.

"It makes it a really interesting thing and for him, it will be 100 per cent special".

Roma entered the second leg of the quarterfinals with 50/1 odds of winning the title.

Wenger, whose side play Man United away in the Premier League between the two semi-final legs, had identified Atletico, Champions League finalists in 2014 and 2016, as the most dangerous side in the draw. The first leg is in Madrid. Liverpool is in its first Champions League semifinal match since 2008, when it lost to Chelsea.

"It will be two difficult games because they are fantastic side", Klopp added.

"They obviously didn't see both games against Barcelona". That was the only time Roma ever reached the semifinals.

And the waters were further muddied today when the live draw results were shown on the official UEFA site BEFORE the live stream.

Roma sporting director Monchi believes the tie also offers the Italians hope of progress. "If we play like with Barcelona we have chances", he concluded.

The first leg of the semi-final will take place on April 25 in Munich, while the second leg will be on May 1 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Real will go to Bayern's Allianz Arena for the first leg, while Liverpool will host Roma at Anfield in their first match. It's been a bit of a graveyard for unbiased officiating in recent years.

Totti retired last year at the age of 40, but spoke with bitterness about his final two seasons under Luciano Spalletti.

"Salah's return? Liverpool's whole team is very strong, they have many important players and a great coach".
